Fish N Spliffs is a life style brand
You either get it or you don’t!
A Life Style brand that stands out from the rest, breaking down the stigma associated with cannabis.
I’m Matt, a multi-species fisherman exploring new waters big or small, constantly on the pursuit for that next big fish! Proud member of Muskies Canada, with mission to preserve the apex predator of freshwater.
This brand represents freedom of expression and the ability to be who you are, free from the judgments of society or caring what people think of you. Marijuana can be both recreational as well as therapeutic for some.
Fish N Spliffs came about during a very low time in my life, in early 2020 I suffered a life altering injury to my back at the hands of an Osteopath, and a month later my brother committed suicide. I was both physically and mentally at rock bottom, my business was suffering because I couldn’t physically do the work myself, as well was no longer able to perform or enjoy the multitude of sports and activities due to my chronic and intense physical pain. I stopped socializing as I was always in pain and uncomfortable, this put a strain on all of my relationships and I found myself in a very dark spot.
Fishing became an activity that required limited physical activity as well it grounded me and helped temporarily ease some of my mental anguish. It made me feel closer to my brother who’s work and life slogan was “life on the water”. The joy I found in hunting down fish and discovering new species is what helped me get through many dark days.
I started making hoodies and t-shirts for myself and that is when I created the line of apparel, not only a pass time but as a new business that was not physically demanding.

My next venture is in the works, to set up a fishing charter in Costa Rica, where I have had the pleasure to enjoy some of the best fishing in the world.
